A friend in Waltham has graciously offered to be a pickup point for Grace Note Farm eggs this week, so if you’ve been wishing you could get some terrific fresh eggs, this is your chance. Our hens are fed certified organic grain and allowed continuous access to a large fenced pasture. We keep a mixed flock of heritage and commercial layers, to support genetic diversity among food animals and also so that we can independently replenish our laying flock as needed (heritage chickens will brood clutches of baby chicks, but the commercial breed hens typically don’t remember how). Our eggs come in all shades from beige to brown, and vary in size.
Eggs will be available starting Saturday morning, July 23. The pickup location is isolated from my friend’s house, so you’ll be able to stop by at your convenience for self-serve pickup without worrying about disturbing the residents. The address for the pickup location is near the intersection of Bacon, Totten Pond, and Lexington Aves. in Waltham. I’ll email the specific address to customers who place an order.
To order eggs, press the ‘Add to cart’ button below, then the screen will refresh and you can adjust the quantity of dozens you wish to purchase (type the new quantity and press enter). Then press either the ‘Check out with Paypal’ button, or the ‘Submit’ button to pay via check. Paypal purchases do not incur surcharge this week. There will be an envelope in the refrigerator where you collect your eggs where you can leave a checks. Checks should be made payable to Grace Note Farm.
Thank you for supporting our farm, and enjoy your delicious, farm-fresh eggs.
